There are many unknown spectaculars in Vietnam.
One of them is the clean, clear, beautiful ocean.
The high salinity and stable water temperatures throughout the year make it an ideal place for growing high quality Sea Grapes.
Strong sun light and sea beds high in nutrients help the Sea Grapes to grow quickly and strong.
There are mainly two ways of growing Sea Grapes.
One is cultivating them in on-shore disinfected sterilized sea water tanks, providing the Sea Grapes with synthetic diets. Okinawa mainly uses this technique.
The other is planting the sea grape seeds directly on to the ocean bed in isolated ocean ponds. The natural currents provide nutrients and minerals for the sea grapes to absorb. Everything is “Naturally grown” without the use of any chemicals.
We use the “naturally grown” method.
Mr. Yamaguchi quickly realized the optimum environment, and moved his work base to Vietnam. With the help and assistance from a former oceanographer, they succeeded in cultivating sea grapes in naturally grown conditions using only the currents without the use of any chemicals throughout the process.
All Sea Grapes are inspected and graded thoroughly with care and attention.
Crops, algae, processed foods, etc. that are grown without relying on chemical substances such as chemical fertilizers and pesticides can be certified as organic if they pass strict inspection by a nationally accredited inspection agency.
Thanks to Vietnam's beautiful nature, pond management, and production process, Mr. Yamaguchi's sea grapes were certified organic in Europe and America (EU Organic/USDA) in 2022, and in Japan in 2023. (Organic algae JAS certification number: 006.23.03).
After years of research, trial and error, we succeeded in cultivating sea grapes in natural organic conditions. Different to Okinawa style tank cultivation, you can enjoy the great natural taste of sea grapes only from Vietnam
Our unique super-high salinity salt water process enables longer shelf life!
Sea Grapes are very delicate, and shrivel at low temperatures. Therefore, storage of sea grapes is very difficult and loses its flavor very quickly. Our salting technique provides longer shelf life with the ability to store in low temperatures.
With Mr. Yamaguchi’s salting technique, the Sea Grapes will come back to life with great texture.
Our Sea Grapes are grown naturally and slowly in the beautiful waters of Vietnam. The strong sunlight and natural minerals provide nutrients to the Sea Grapes. Each grape is very large compared to other regions, and the texture is fabulous. We are very proud of the quality.
Sea Grapes are healthy for the human body and since it is low in calories, use it as a topping on your favourite salad. Serve it as an entrée. The possibilities are unlimited!!
